I live in semi-controlled housing. We’re allowed to plant under the overhang, have to keep the grass mowed, that sort of thing. So I do. Plants all along the south side of the house, a birdbath and bird feeder. Solar-powered lights and hanging baskets by the front step. Christmas lights that have been up since I moved in a year ago. One other person here does a little, a Madonna in the front yard, there’s a couple of little flags. But not like me. And now I’ve done this.

Peep lights.

And I go out after dark and take pictures of them.

I was convinced everybody in Walmart was staring at me tonight, too. But then this 6’5″, 130-pound guy with hair spiked out about ten inches walked by. I decided I could give up my paranoia for the night.
