Assuming wildly that these are birches! I agree 100%. They are one of my favs too – right up there with larches/tamaracks. I take so many pictures of these when I find them, I’m surprised my camera doesn’t just quit!!
This is a great shot! Love it when trees grow together and look like they are buddies standing against the universe.

It’s because we’re Scandinavian. Or something. I didn’t like tamaracks till I got up here and got to watch them. Now I love them.

Beautiful photo of beautiful trees.
We have paper birches out here as decorative landscape trees, also quaking Aspen with similar bark, in the mountains.
I’m part Native American. I think that’s why I love them so much.
