I’m in a 3D design course. We have worked with foam-core (moderately annoying), manila-colored cardstock with masking tape (pretty darned annoying), and now?

Making a thing that will keep an egg from breaking when dropped from about 20 feet. Out of up to three sheets of computer paper and toothpicks. And Elmer’s glue.

Making the first egg-protection device was bad enough. Then I forgot it at home, and am supposed to be making a new one. The little curls of paper are for cushions. This one will be pretty, at least. I opted for the colored toothpicks.

I will be singing taps for my poor little egg as he goes sailing over the edge.
